Zele Mane began his career as an abstract painter. Intent on broadening the scope of his esthetic ideals into the functional arts he began to build homes and design furniture. On being commissioned to design and build a series of top end modern homes in Santa Barbara California, in 2001 Zele established Zele Company.
In 2006, upon completing his studies in literature and philosophy Avshalom Mane joined his father, Zele. Finding himself more fascinated by the seating than any other aspect of design, he embraced the belief that chairs are the poetry of architecture: a discussion of form and material confined by the functionality prescribed by the shape of the human body.
Together they continued to develop a full line of furniture that in time came to furnish some of the most exquisite homes and hotels in the United States and around the world.
