The Wallpaper magazine has named the Polish-based MooMoo Architects “one of the 30 most promising studios in the world”. This is the second time in history a Polish studio is honored with this title. It is built on a steep sloping grade which made it possible to set the main level of the house up into the tree canopy, to evoke the feeling of being in a tree house.
Extending out into the forest canopy, the recently completed Wilkinson Residence seems to disappear into its surroundings.

Here’s an interesting idea. Take an old coal field and rehab it inside a solar powered glasshouse the size of a city block.
Then build freestanding buildings inside the outer shell of glass and solar cells. In addition to power from solar cells, capture and use leftover methane vented from the old mine for additional power generation.
