Biography: Zelé Mané

Artist, Designer, and Builder, Zelé Mané was born in Russia in 1946. Raised in Israel, his earliest focus was on sculpture and painting. Zele began his career as an abstract painter emerging with his own signature style of calculated visceral gestures and forms. Intent on broadening the scope of his artistic ideals into the field of functional arts, Zelé began building houses and designing furniture. On being commissioned to design and build a series of luxury homes in Southern California, in 2001 Zelé settled in Santa Barbara where he established Zele Company.
Zelé devotes at least several hours of each day to the study of ancient Latin and Hebrew.
